Manchester City are reportedly set to reward defender John Stones with a HUGE new contract.
Stones was a relatively unreliable, raw and error-prone centre-back upon arrival at the Etihad from Everton, but has developed into one of the finest defenders in the country.
Having played a key role for City in their Premier League title win of last term, and for England during their memorable Euro 2020 campaign, he now looks set to be rewarded accordingly.
As per The Athletic, Stones will be handed a new five-year extension by Man City, who are willing to increase his wages to £250K-a-week to reflect his importance to the team.

That’ll keep Stones at the Manchester club until 2026, when he’ll be 32-years-old. A worthwhile commitment to a defender who has come a long way in recent seasons.
Stones’ partnership with Ruben Dias is only going to continue to grow, with all City fans able to rest assured that the future of their defence is in good hands.
