Cody Gakpo became just the second player in World Cup history to open the scoring three times in the same group stage as the Netherlands eased to a 2-0 victory over Qatar.
Gakpo has been on the radar of top teams across Europe for multiple seasons now, and he is doing his reputation no harm at the Qatar World Cup. His three goals have helped fire the Dutch to first place in group A, and former England midfielder Joe Cole did not hold back when praising the 23-year-old.

Speaking on ITV, Cole Said: “He’s a young man, he’s fearless, great movement for the goal, fantastic finishing – he’s going to be high on everyone’s wishlist” and went on to state that he would pay £80 million for the forward.
Manchester United are the club most heavily linked with the Dutchman, and with his compatriot Ten Hag at the helm, we could well see Gakpo at the Manchester club next season.
