Everton loanee Jarrad Branthwaite enjoyed a moment with a Dutch reporter following his sideโ€™s Cup win over FC Emmen.

The Eindhoven side beat their Eredivisie rivals 3-1 to advance to the competitionโ€™s quarterfinals, with Branthwaite scoring a brace, his second and third goals for the club.

However, it was his interaction with a reporter post-match that was the highlight of the night.

The reporter acknowledged that Branthwaite used to play at Carlisle before his move to Everton and told a short story of his experience in the town.

โ€œI went to Carlisle once with Brighton and I then phoned my mum and said Iโ€™ve arrived at the end of the world!โ€œ, before saying โ€œits a punishment to play thereโ€œ, asking Branthwaite whether or not Carlisle really is the end of the world, not realising the town is where Branthwaite grew up after the player revealed moments later.

It was a moment to forget for the reporter but Branthwaite took it well, with the pair enjoying a laugh about the conversation afterwards.
