Japan fans arrived at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium with bin bags in their hands, ready to clean the stadium after the final whistle went.
Despite losing the game 1-0 to Costa Rica, the Japan fans didn’t let that get them down. They proceeded to go row by row, picking up trash and collecting it from any passersby.
In victory or defeat, there is always respect.

Japan fans were spotted doing this good deed earlier in the week, even in games where their team didn’t feature.
Japanese citizens are synonymous with being clean and have regularly cleaned up stadiums. When a fan was asked why they do it, he replied ‘we are Japanese, and we do not leave rubbish behind us, and we respect the place.’

Civilised people, from being kids they are taught to be polite and pick up rubbish. They are also choosey who they allow into their country, unlike Europe, Britain & America.
