Jamie Carragher has slammed Mikel Arteta for his behaviour as Liverpool prepare to face the Gunners on Saturday evening.
With a spot at the top of the Premier League up for grabs, Arsenal will make the trip to Anfield with hopes of securing their first win in over a decade.
There were fears that Arteta would be absent from the touchline for this game with many expecting him to be hit with a ban from the FA for his comments after the Newcastle loss.
But an independent panel ruled that he was innocent with Carragher criticising his actions during an episode of Stick to Football.
āThe thing that fascinates me with Arteta is what I see on the touchline, itās almost a completely different person to the person I played against.ā The former Liverpool defender said.
āI think some of the bookings heās got ā the over-celebrating, the odd thing where you think, āCome on, thereās no need for thatā. But I do think he shouldnāt have got away with ā once heād been charged with what he said after Newcastle, and the defence was there was a translation difference between what youād say in Spain about something was a disgrace, it means something different in Spain. That was nonsense.
