James McClean receives this abuse for his beliefs and for largely being a strong republican living in the North. See him talk below about the troubles he has to endure

Does James McClean bring it on himself? James McClean might be outspoken in his identity, but surely non one should be open to any or that type of abuse. We’ve all seen the Black Lives Matter movement at the moment and black players coming out about the racial abuse they receive. But it’s also good to see the Irish man James McClean coming out and sharing some of the abuse he has received including a hate letter from a 12 year old, just awful to see, awful. Will social media ever act on these people also
