YouTuber-cum-boxer Jake Paul has revealed that he plans to spend some time away from boxing after fighting Tyron Woodley for a second time.
Paul’s bout with Tyron Woodley, which is taking place following the withdrawal of Tommy Fury on medical grounds, will be his fifth fight in the space of just 13 months.
Irrespective of whether you like Paul or believe he has any serious boxing credentials, you have to admit that he has been living the life of a fighter for over a year. He’s earned himself a break.
He clearly intends on having one, too, with the YouTuber quoted by The Sun revealing that he intends on travelling the world with girlfriend Julia Rose after the Woodley fight is out of the way.
“I wanna go on vacation with Julia, travel the world.”
“I haven’t done much, you know. I didn’t feel like I deserved a vacation and I haven’t really taken one.”

“It’s only really been like a work vacation for like a week but like, you’re still filming content or like, doing stuff.”
“I really want to take some time off, for sure. 100 per cent.”
Defeating Woodley for a second time would propel Paul even further up the boxing pecking order.
Yes, Woodley is not a boxer by trade, but he’s a former UFC champion. To have passed that test on two separate occasions would prove that Paul really does belong in the fight game.
If he were to achieve that and reach that level, he ought to take some time to consider his next move. The proposed extended holiday would be a good way to go about doing that.
