Jake Paul launches scathing attack on ‘wannabe Abercrombie & Fitch model’ Tommy Fury

Jake Paul has launched a scathing attack on Tommy Fury ahead of their fight in Florida on December 18th.

Paul and Fury have been taking poorly camouflaged digs at each other for the best part of a year now.

The American’s decision to put Fury on the undercard of his bout against Tyron Woodley was a strategic attempt to increase his profile in the USA and eventually result in higher PPV sales from this fight.

With the bout now just over a month away, Paul is turning up the heat on Fury, who he is yet to see face-to-face since the papers were signed, with ‘TNT’ having missed the first press conference of the promo tour.

Though Fury wasn’t in attendance, Paul didn’t refrain from criticising his opponent. He’s quoted by The Sun saying, “this kid’s chin has never been tested. He’s only been put in with opponents that were meant to lose.”

“I’ve never done that. All my fights were stepping into the unknown. For him, this is the first fight where the opponent isn’t just put in there to lose.

“On the biggest stage possible, in front of all these people, this young man will crack. He’s not battle-tested like me.”

“He hasn’t lived the life that I have. He’s had a silver spoon in his mouth his whole entire life.”

“He’s doing this because his brother does it. Because his dad told him to do it. This isn’t something he wants to do.”

“If it was up to him, he’d be an Abercrombie & Fitch model.”

It’s not yet clear whether Fury does live and breathe the sport in the same manner as his father and brother, but it’s quite rich of the YouTuber to poke fun at the standard of his opponents.

After all, Paul has fought a fellow YouTube star, a former NBA player and two washed-up UFC fighters. It’s a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black…
