Jake Paul open to fighting unified light-heavyweight champion of the world

Jake Paul has revealed that he would be open to fighting Artur Beterbiev in the future.

Paul, who is widely regarded as somewhat of a circus act by the bulk of the boxing community, has an opportunity to strengthen his credentials against Hasim Rahman Jr.

While Hasim Rahman Jr was beaten in his last fight, it was by a fighter with a professional record of 20, with Rahman Jr having been up on the cards at the time he was stopped.

There can be no denying that Paul will gain a significant amount of credibility if he were to beat Rahman Jr, and ahead of time, that appears to be going to the YouTuber’s head…

Beterbiev is the unified light-heavyweight champion of the world, and Paul appears legitimately open to the idea of sharing the ring with him at some point in the future.

Paul has previously revealed his desire to challenge for a world title in the future, but were he to do it against Beterbiev, we’d be incredibly surprised if he lasted 60 seconds.

He ought to pick his battles wisely if he wants to prolong his boxing career. There’s an argument that he has already failed at that by agreeing to fight Rahman Jr next week…
