Ireland came up against a quality opposition in France this afternoon at a sold out Aviva Stadium on the south side of Dublin City.
France were simply too good, Peter O’Mahony made his last appearance in green also this afternoon and viewers were sickened when the cameras did show the Cork native leaving the field ..

RTE not showing @peterom6 jogging off was some mess up. One of Irelands greats on his last big day of putting his body on the line and we looking at the ref walking around the place 🙈🙈 #IREvFRA

Yeah, that was a huge miss! Peter O’Mahony is one of Ireland’s legends, and to not have that moment properly captured was a bit of a letdown. You’d think they’d prioritize those kinds of moments instead of focusing on the ref strolling about.
Yes, I thought exactly the same … very disappointing. The cameras should have picked up the mighty Peter O’Mahoney leaving the field on his last time playing at home for Ireland. It was baffling really.
Nobody will explain. Nobody will apologise. Nobody will be held responsible.
He’s a munster man…anyway leinst sorry “ireland” choked againn…give em fav tag & watch em fold
Very disappointed for Peter and his family to not have the momentous moment recorded by the national broadcaster.
The off ball tackle against Peter was the turning point, try allowed, and for the next 15min all France, to be fair were the better team today. One more game in Rome. After we go into transition i think, and as a certain president would say, let’s make Ireland great again.
He has been a stalwart at munster and in the green Jersey. It was disappointing that they did not show Peter leaving the field.
Saying that, I was not impressed with two of his tackles. Shoulder hit, no arms into the knees of two French players. Someone at his level shouldn’t feel the need to Intentionally take someone out the game. That sadly made me not enjoy his last appearance
