Great news for young people, as this morning the government are set to extend the opening hours of the pubs and night clubs around the country.
Pubs will be open until half twelve every night of the week, clubbers can drink in a nightclub up to six in the morning and late bars will all serve until 2:30am under new laws to be agreed by ministers on this morning.
This a great move in this writers opinion, finally Ireland is starting to grow up and be a bit more mature about alcohol. Instead of Ireland being a nanny state, it’s time to let the people decide and even if the nightclubs are open till 6am, people do go home at some stage.
This will greatly help the economy also and add more jobs to the sector, well done the government.
Pubs will be allowed open from 10:30am to 12:30am seven days a week and nightclubs could stay open until 6am under a plan the Justice Minister will bring to Cabinet today.
