One of the biggest brands in World Sport the All Blacks put up a post for International Women’s Day thanking the mens mothers, partners, daughters, doctors etc… Instead of using the day to celebrate the Black Ferns, the women’s team in New Zealand are also extremely good at playing the game and are the current World Cup winners.
Whoever over looked this made an extremely poor error and got hammered for doing so, see it below…
The clue is in the name of the day! 🤦♂️
Focus on the Black Ferns or the achievements of women in rugby, or addressing existing inequality.
Or maybe delete this one & just retweet the Black Ferns…https://t.co/69owhNzYid

Not saying the English RFU is perfect, but I think this is a more appropriate Twitter post!

My daughter plays rugby. Why wouldn't you feature the amazing women who play on IWD rather than framing women as helpers to men? I mean, it was our WOMEN'S SEVENS who won the GOLD. Your social media team needs to hire women STAT.
