If Manchester United win tonight they will match a club record set by Fergie’s 1999 legends

Manchester United are on courses to match a unique and impressive record set by Sir.Alex Ferguson’s legendary 1999 treble winning team.

The 1999 United squad will go down in history at Old Trafford as they were the first English side to complete the coveted treble, winning both domestic cups (Premier League and FA Cup) and the UEFA Champions League.

The current Red Devils are quite a bit away from achieving the dizzying heights of the 1999 team but they are on course to equal an impressive record set by the legendary squad.

According to the Daily Mail if Manchester United win tonight against Fulham at Craven Cottage they will equal the record for most away wins in a season which was set by the 1999 outfit.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are chasing a 17th consecutive Premier League game on the road without defeat and if they win they will join illustrious company of teams to achieve the feat.

The current club record stands at 17 unbeaten games which was set by Fergie’s treble winners in 1999 but their run came to an abrupt end October 1999 when they were heavily beaten heavily by Chelsea, losing 5-0.
