Ian Wright identifies worrying pattern that is costing Manchester United points

According to the Mirror, former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright feels Manchester United’s slow starts are a real “worry” and it’s costing the Red Devils games.

United dropped two more points over the weekend after they drew 1-1 with West Brom leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men seven points of leaders Manchester City with one more game played.

Wright’s suggestion of slow starts being a problem for United may be true as they conceded in the open two minutes in their encounter with The Baggies.

It took the home side just 90 seconds to get on the scoresheet after Mbaye Diagne headed West Brom in front.

United would eventually score their equaliser thanks to talisman Bruno Fernandes who levelled the game up with his strike in the 44th minute.

Wright pointed out that conceding first has become a familiar pattern for United, especially on the road, having conceded first on six occasions.

If United are serious about becoming title challengers Wright believes the serious issue of starting slow and conceding first needs to be addressed.
