The former Manchester United midfielder was critical of Rasmus Hojlund after several wasted chances on Monday night.
The Danish striker joined from Atalanta in the summer for a reported £72 million as the Red Devils looked to fix their goalscoring problems.
Despite scoring multiple times in the Champions League, Hojlund has only registered one goal in the Premier League.
Man United beat Wigan 2-0 on Monday to progress to the next round of the FA Cup with the 20-year-old again lacking a clinical edge in front of goal.
Keane wasn’t too impressed by some of these missed chances as he criticised the striker while appearing on the ITV panel.
“I would be fuming with him.” He said.
“We wanted United to show a part of their game tonight and they have in terms of missing chances and not being clinical – I want to see that side of United tonight. When your striker is missing chances, we can say unlucky all day, they are great opportunities.
“Put the ball in the back of the net and stop messing around!”
