Waterford took on Limerick on Saturday evening in the second round of the Munster Hurling Championship. At the same time Leinster were playing Northampton Saints in the semi-final of the Champions Cup.
Hurling supporters are not happy that RTE were showing the rugby rather than the hurling ..
Rte refusing to give any type of broadcast of the Limerick and Waterford game for some rugby match is an insult to all the GAA lovers in this country! I am delighted Leinster lost it is a win for Irish sport in my opinion

The game was available on GAA+ and as a sports person you will understand that this was a European Rugby 1/2 Final. All sports deserve coverage and the GAA will have RTE to themselves today. Pretty petty comments about Leinster they are after all an Irish Team.
It’s not RTE’s problem. GAA caused this by having too many matches in too short of time.
The rugby was a great game in fairness this evening. One of the best rugby games in a long time, versus a game which Limerick won handy enough in the end.The whole fucking sporting world doesn’t revolve around what you like to watch Michael? How is seeing an Irish team lose a win for Irish sport? Grow up and stop posting abouselt garbage. Goodman
What a pathetic little man you are.
I agree with Michael, the greatest game in the World behind a pay wall. The president of the Gaa needs to be held accountable.
Whatever about the rugby been televised.
Hours and hours of Punches town been televised, what muck and no hurling. Encouraging people to gamble. Horse racing isn’t a sport but a gambling racket
I love hurling but again next weekend only one game one rte in hurling free to air .. again three or four other games behind the pay wall .. I for on Sunday July 21st won’t be in any push to watch the All Ireland hurling final..
The Open golf championship is on that weekend and will either go to that or watch that .. GAA shot themselves in the foot .. turning people away from matches with their bright ideas .. no club hurling championship games till July…. Crazy .
Aah grow up lads, always wanting something for nothing. Not willing to pay a few quid to watch “the greatest game in the world”. How pathetic.
We won’t stay as the greatest game without a few bob in the GAA coffers. They should increase the ticket prices and then maybe we could import Beauden Barrett for the championship in 2026.
