Flanagan was not included in the 2026 Limerick senior hurling squad by manager John Kiely. Feohanagh’s Seamus Flanagan is a five-time All-Ireland senior medal winner with Limerick. The 28-year old featured three times during Limerick’s six championship games this year.

In the last two seasons, Flanagan has worked a pundit for BBC TV during the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals and final. Flanagan was released from the Limerick senior hurling panel alongside Jason Gillane, Micheál Houlihan, Fergal O’Connor and Cian Scully.
We wish Seamus Flanagan all the best in his new chapter, Flanagan was a serious hurler in his prime and he Tipperary side will get a lot from the five time All-Ireland winner.

Will do well, coming from Feohanagh!!
Well done Seamus and best wishes in the next chapter of ur career
