Waterford took on Offaly today at Fraser Field and hurling fans all over the country aren’t happy with the decision made by the match day referee Johnny Murphy.

Why is this a red card? Ref and linesman need to explain this and then miss a game themselves.

Shocking. Hurling is reffed differently in league v championship. Best game of the year was the Ulster Club Semi when the ref didn’t blow anything. Players got it and it turned into a hard honest game.

Waterford lad went down like he was shot.. hate to see this creeping into GAA.. and no definitely not a red card. Hopefully gets overturned so James can rightfully play in a League final

Never a red in a million years. Poor refereeing swayed by players going down holding their head when it was nowhere near

It looks very clear to me referee’s are been guided by people who have no clue or understanding how to referee hurling games. And now lads are getting Reds for yellow card offences and vice a versa.
