Hugo Lloris has hit out at his own supporters after they openly booed Davinson Sanchez during their humiliating defeat on Saturday.
Spurs were hit with a sucker punch late on against Bournemouth as they conceded a goal in the extra time to make it 3-2.
Fans were obviously furious with the team, not just after the game but throughout and let one player know in particular what they thought of him.
Sanchez was booed by the supporters frequently and when he was substituted off received the biggest cheer of the day.
Captain of the club, Lloris, has now hit out at supporters for their treatment of the defender.
‘It started earlier, it’s when he came on the pitch,’ captain Lloris told beIN Sports.
‘I’ve never seen this in my career. I feel really bad for Davinson. He’s a team-mate, he’s a friend and he’s been fighting for the club for many many years now, and it’s just sad.
‘The story is sad for the club, for the fans, for the player. It’s something you don’t want to see in football.’
