How UFC’s stars reacted to Tom Brady’s Buccaneers winning the NFL’s 55th Super Bowl

Saturday night, or if you’re in Europe, Sunday morning played host to one of sport’s most sought after spectacles; the NFL’s illustrious Super Bowl showdown.

This season’s star-studded 55th Super Bowl saw the Kansas City Chiefs, led by sport’s highest paid athlete Patrick Mahomes, take-on the Glazer family’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chief’s and Mahomes who is the highest-rated quarterback in history came into the weekend’s mouth-watering showdown as overwhelming favourites.

However, after the opening two quarters saw former New England Patriots duo Brady and tight-end Rob Gronkowski roll the years back to combine for two touchdowns, all the pressure was on Mahomes and co. to force a comeback.

Despite having the electrically paced wide-receiver Tyreek Hill among their ranks, the Chiefs were unable to complete a comeback and ultimatley went on to lose 31-9.

The Bucs’ win saw them lift the Vince Lombardi trophy for the second time in their history with star Brady claiming his seventh series ring.

Speaking after the event which was witnessed by 25,000 fans inside of the Bucs’ home ground, the Raymond James Stadium, co-owner Joel Glazer, who also owns Manchester United Football Club (as quoted by Express) said: “I’ve got to say, I’ve got to start by saluting all the healthcare workers here. They’re the real champions!

“Now to our great fans: We did it at home. My father had an expression, if you want to know the road ahead, ask the person that’s been there.

“We found that person. Ten Super Bowl appearances, seven victories… Tom Brady.”
