In a conversation with the Golf Channel, cult Hollywood hero Adam Sandler has given the green light to Happy Gilmore 2.
The movie recently celebrated its 25th anniversary which brought Happy out of retirement when Sandler posted a video of himself doing the characters famous tee off.
Happy loves you all! Thanks for everything! pic.twitter.com/p1aY9JcFWh

When asked about that being a possibility, Sandler explained: “That has not been discussed but it certainly has been discussed on the Internet.
“That Senior Tour idea, it would be so amazing.”
“I would love to do it, everybody’s been screaming for it like Adam said on the Internet.
“I’ve just got to say it would be a complete blast, the Senior Tour with us two.”
During the celebrations of the movie the official account of the Tour Championship made a proposition to Sandler in a bid to get the star to play a round with them in August.
In a bid to coax Sandler into 18 holes and what we hope is an invitation for the 54-year-old to become Happy Gilmore again they said: ‘Hey @AdamSandler, if this gets 10K retweets, will you come play 18 holes with us at the end of August?’

We take a lot of pride in having you as the 1996 Tour Championship winner 😅 pic.twitter.com/4EEqPdeD9r

The post also had an image of the wall of honours which features fictional professional golfer Happy Gilmore listed as the 1996 champion.
Should Sandler agree to the Tour Championships terms we may see the return of Happy Gilmore later this year which is something the world needs right now.
