Glenn Hoddle has revealed who he considers the best player in the Premier League – and it’s not Mohamed Salah.
Though the Premier League is home to some of the finest footballers on the planet, there is one in particular who stands out from the crowd – Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has scored ten goals and provided seven assists in 11 Premier League appearances this campaign. That’s a quite ridiculous return, even by his standards.
Still, while Salah is widely recognised as the Premier League’s star performer, there are some who would choose someone else ahead of him, Glenn Hoddle being one of them.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Hoddle revealed his belief that the best player in the Premier League is in fact… West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

Rice is enjoying a superb season for the Hammers, just as he did last time around, but we’re some way away from considering him in the world-class bracket.
Salah is an established world-class player who has performed on the biggest stages. The time will come for Rice, but the time is not now…
