🚨Jackie Tyrrell pours fresh water on the Cody/Shefflin handshake .. 😬

The former Kilkenny hurler and four time All Star Jackie Tyrrell gave his opinion on the Henry Shefflin, Brian Cody handshake that took place two years ago.

Speaking on the highly popular podcast The GAA Social the former Kilkenny defender said the following;

I feel it reflects poorly on Brian. I think he should have shaken Henry’s hand.

I would be a Kilkenny man, a James Stephens man…would I go and train Galway? No. Henry did.

I could understand Brian’s position on it, but I didn’t like the way he didn’t shake Henry’s hand. Whether you like him or you don’t like him, whether you’ve issues with him…shake the man’s hand after all you’ve been through and all he’s done for you.

In fairness to Jackie Tyrrell, he’s spot on, it was poor form from Cody, whatever way you think of it ..

  1. I lost all respect for Cody after that. He’s an educated man and let himself down big. Apart from the fact that Henry played a huge role in cody getting the plaudits he got, on a human level. Henry had only buried his brother. Plus Henry is a great Kilkenny.
