Harry Kane received a phone call from Antonio Conte after making history with Tottenham on Sunday.
Spurs have made a habit of upsetting Manchester City every season and today was no different. Pep Guardiola has an awful record away from home at Tottenham Hotspur and no matter what form the two sides hold going into the game, they always seem to come up short.
From the first whistle, Spurs were up for the game, flying into tackles and showing an intensity that has been lacking in recent memory. It didn’t take long for that high-octane style to pay off as they forced Manchester City into a sloppy mistake and Kane was there to capitalise.
He slotted home his 267th goal for the North London side making him the all-time club goalscorer, overtaking Jimmy Greaves.
In the dressing room after the match, Kane received a call from his manager Conte, who wasn’t present because he just underwent gallbladder surgery.
