Harry Kane became the first English player since David Beckham in 2002 to register three assists in a single World Cup campaign.
Despite the game being 0-0 at halftime, the Three Lions roared into life after the break, and the England Skipper played his part. Just moments after Marcus Rashford had fired the side ahead with a rocket of a free-kick, Kane excellently found Phil Foden in the box as the young midfielder scored his first-ever World Cup goal.
The assist was Kane’s third of the tournament and demonstrated that the striker can provide for his team even when he isn’t scoring himself.

With England’s place in the knockout phase of the tournament all but confirmed, Harry Kane could potentially have up to a further four games in the competition to secure a fourth assist and set a new record for English players.
