Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, according to SPORT.
Haaland, who is the most coveted player on the planet right now, has been linked with virtually every top club on the planet.
Despite links to Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Barcelona and the rest, there has been a sense of inevitability about Haaland’s eventual move to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are considered the ultimate destination for many players, rightly or wrongly, and Haaland appears to be another who falls into that bracket.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Real Madrid have held decisive talks with Haaland’s camp and there is now confidence a transfer will be completed this summer.
The release clause which kicks into Haaland’s contract this summer has been well-documented, allowing Real Madrid to sign him for half his actual market value.
It’s a deal that Florentino Perez will no doubt be desperate to get over the line. Whether he will be able to get both Haaland AND Kylian Mbappe remains to be seen…
