Graham Potter reveals that Chelsea had their ‘WORST’ pre season last summer

Graham Potter revealed in his Friday press conference that Chelsea reportedly had their worst pre-season camp before beginning their Premier League campaign.

The Blues are currently in the middle of one of their worst seasons in recent memory, sitting in tenth place and with a ridiculously long transfer bill in hand, their fall has been jaw-dropping.

Their poor performances in the league and in the cup competitions have led to fans growing frustrated and have now inevitably started calling for the manager to get the sack. Potter joined from Brighton last September and has now revealed that some of the players told him that they had the worst pre-season of their lives.

‘Speaking to a few of the experienced guys, they said it was the worst pre-season they’ve had, ‘ he said.

‘Organisationally, the tour didn’t work as well as they’d like. I wasn’t there so I can’t say.’

During that pre-season, they played and were humiliated by Arsenal 4-0, with both sides fielding strong teams.

Thomas Tuchel was in charge at the time and infamously called out his players for their lack of motivation and hunger after the game finished.
