Kieran Donaghy to Break a Big Record this Weekend

Posted by

Former Kerry inter county footballer and Austin Stacks full-forward Kieran Donaghy is set to make his 60th appearance for the club and pass out Ger O’Keeffe’s record for the most appearances for his club. What an incredible career Donaghy has has be it with club or county. Donaghy has won four All-Ireland’s with Kerry and one county title with Austin Stacks and not forgetting that he is a basketball fanatic and had the medals to show for it.

The 38 year old made his senior Championship debut for Austin Stacks way back in 2014, the record Donaghy is set to break this weekend was held by Ger O’Keefe since July 1992.

Austin Stacks will take on East Kerry on Saturday night and we wish Keran Donaghy all the best we had the privilege to interview the full-forward a number of months ago during the height of the lockdown in Ireland. I’m sure Saturday night will be a proud moment for him and his family and hopefully a great night for Austin Stacks as they hope to beat East Kerry in the Kerry Championship.
