George Groves retired in 2018 with a record of (28-4).
The Londoner had an electric rivalry with Carl Froch which included one of the best build-ups to a fight in British boxing history.
The pair shared a titanic battle in Manchester in which Groves dumped Froch to the canvas before Howard Foster controversially stopped the fight in ‘The Cobra’s’ favour.

They rematched at Wembley Stadium with Groves being knocked out by a ‘punch from the Gods’ as the fighter from Nottingham retained his world championship once again.

Groves would go on to eventually claim a world title at the fourth time of asking when he defeated Fedor Chudinov for the vacant WBA super middleweight strap.
When speaking to TalkSPORT about the most skilful fighter he came up against though he names a former Carl Froch opponent in Andre Dirrell.
He said: “The most skilful fighter, in the gym in sparring was Andre Dirrell, he was really skilful.
“This is post his fight with Carl Froch but pre his fight with James DeGale so I was still a bit of a newbie pro, but he was very good.
“He was lightning fast and very explosive. He had decent power and a lot of boxing IQ.”
