We sit down and talk to Middleweight boxer Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan. Gary tells about growing up in the suburbs of Cork city and how there was no boxing club in his local area of Mahon. Gary has an incredible record, fighting 35 times in the ring, with 31 wins, 21 knockouts and only four losses, four losses to future Champions.
This is a great listen of one of Ireland’s most underrated sports stars, Gary has achieved a lot in his career and still has a lot to give. Spike would one day love to fight in front of his home crowd in Cork city, by filling Turners Cross or even Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
