Gary Neville brands Man United “shocking” and “wimpish” after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacking

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has been discussing the sacking of former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sky Sports this afternoon.

Despite having watched Man United circle the drain in recent weeks, Neville has refused to turn on Solskjaer.

The Sky Sports pundit has angered the Man United fanbase with his unwavering loyalty to Solskjaer until the bitter end.

After Solskjaer was finally sacked by the Red Devils on Sunday morning, United fans will no doubt have been itching to hear the thoughts of Neville.

Thankfully, Sky Sports’ Super Sunday show was pencilled in for a 1pm start, which gave Neville the opportunity to go on camera and give his thoughts.

While Neville hasn’t directly criticised Ole, he has acknowledged that the performances have not been good enough.

“The results have been terrible, the performances have been shocking, yesterday was a wimpish performance”

Neville will be disappointed that his former teammate and friend has lost his job, but he doesn’t sound surprised that the club decided to part ways.

The defeat to Watford was abysmally bad – no manager could have survived that on the back of several weeks of struggles.
