Dublin footballer Dean Rock has called it a day on his inter country days with the Dubs. In his time he won eight All-Ireland medals and 3 All-Star awards.

I imagine the mentorship he received as a child when Barney managed Westmeath also made a big impression.

Dean Rock still remains Dublin’s record points scorer and a lot of people will never forget that winning point in 2017. Slowly but surely some of these Dublin greats are starting to retire. Be interesting to see if anyone else hangs up the boots in the coming weeks ..
