The Dalo podcast with the former Clare captain Anthony Daly, Mark Landers and TJ Ryan has come under a bit of fire online for going behind a pay per wall. The podcast is done with the Irish Examiner and is one of the most popular hurling podcast out there.
Fans are hugely disappointed with this decision from The Irish Examiner, obviously the Renault sponsorship wasn’t enough..  Former Cork hurler Mark Foley has gone in on the podcast with some of his tweets below;

OMG. Looking forward to listening to Dalo, Landers and crew this week, and suddenly realise its behind a paywall. Big business is now just monetising our love of hurling. GAA GO, DALO. What next? @DaloAnto

James, most decent podcasts are not behind a paywall. They are sponsored by some corporate entity. Fair enough, if you want to really to drill down in to the detail, charge for it. The Examiner is a soccer newspaper. Always has been.

Cork take on Tipperary this evening in a massive game, both counties will fancy their chances of winning Munster now, after Limerick’s slip up last week and not he injury of Sean Finn. It’s going to be a cracker on Leeside.
I agree with Mark foley.i tried to get my subscription for examiner for year,but couldn’t as new bank card regulations didn’t allow.dont blame bank or paper,but another example of new times. I always laughed enough when father couldn’t cut hay with tractor but was expert with horse machine. now my time has come. very sad that great gaa people are reduced to hasbeens in the present.i loved dalo podcast and will get it again, but these times are very complicated for the people who didn’t learn how to press buttons fast enough. gaa forever
