There’s news floating around twitter today of the son of a prominent Clare player that has been sacked/suspended from a financial job owing to alleged missing funds and suspect gambling addiction debts.

There’s no doubt that gambling is a huge problem in the GAA and not just the GAA but in Irish life in general. Credit where credit is due to the GAA for getting rid of betting companies from sponsoring anything in the organisation.

The countdown is on to the next inter county season already, but for now, people are enjoying the club season where there are some great matches locally.
