Kerry entrained Dublin last Saturday evening at Austin Stack Park in Tralee and wheelchair user Joanne O’Riordan has taken to her twitter to show her disappointment at the lack of outdoor wheelchair sections at the stadium and other grounds around the country.
Kerry defeated the Dubs on a scoreline of 1-15 to 0-11 and the Dubs could be under huge pressure to stay in the division. Austin Stacks Park is an old stadium and in fact a lot of the GAA stadiums aren’t up to international standards. In fact that was one of the reasons we didn’t win the Rugby World Cup bid for 2023.
Journalist Joanne O’Riordan is someone that feels this frustration.

We need to have a serious conversation about outdoor wheelchair sections in GAA grounds. Possibly have hypothermia after the game in Tralee 😬
