News has come out of the passing of Dubai Celts club man Eddie O’Keeffe, the Limerick native was the heart and soul of every party and we’d like to extend our deepest sympathy to his close family and friends at this time.

The Limerick native will be missed by all and his club back in Limerick, Lough Rovers said the following on their Facebook page;
Everyone at Lough Rovers is heartbroken to hear the news of Eddie’s passing. Eddie was a proud Limerick man, and was a devoted Lough Rovers player during his years living in Cork.
Eddie moved to Dubai in 2021 and proudly represented the Dubai Celts during this time where he continued his GAA playing days. Eddie had an infectious positive glow and would light up the room as soon as he walked in.
Eddie gave his all on the pitch, and always went above and beyond to support his team mates whenever they needed it. He was an extremely generous and caring man and Lough Rovers will always be grateful for the effort and commitment Eddie gave to us. He will always hold a dear place in the heart of Lough Rovers GAA ClubOur thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends & loved ones during this difficult time.
