Mallow Train Station line Border Control this morning. Lot of upset passengers not allowed cross platform bridge as they did not have tickets booked due to being sold. People pleading to be allowed cross over & willing to stand on the train. One man shouting 'I will miss match'

The sense of entitlement by people baffles me. They think they should be left on the train just because they say they should.
Plenty warnings issued by @IrishRail
saying that people would only be allowed onto the service they had pre booked for.Are people complaining they weren’t allowed on a train they didn’t have tickets for?
It’s been made abundantly clear all week that trains today were pre bookings only. Idiotic to think you can just rock up without a ticket
Seriously, why have they not prepared for the travel to the final. No train ticket. Just drive. Not rocket science.
If train tickets were sold out they should have had a plan B.
No time for this b/s.Irish Rail is a shambles! Staff are just there to manage systemic incompetence
Mark 4 trains have 48 seats Irish Rail refused to sell….
