Why Tyson Fury wants English judges BANNED from officiating Dillian Whyte fight

Tyson Fury has revealed that he wants English judges BANNED from scoring his upcoming bout with Dillian Whyte.

Fury and Whyte will be going toe-to-toe in the ring at Wembley next month, with the WBC heavyweight title on the line.

It will either be another night to remember for Fury, brushing past yet another inferior heavyweight, or Whyte will cause an upset that’ll send shockwaves through the division.

That is exactly what Jack Catterall ought to have done in Scotland on Saturday, having outclassed Josh Taylor only to be robbed of the titles by some baffling judges’ scorecards.

Fury doesn’t want to see a repeat of that when he and Whyte fight and has revealed that he would likely there to be a BAN on English officiating for the bout.

“I’ve seen an article recently where Frank Warren said there would be no British judges for this fight and I reiterate that as well.”

“Those words echo around my training camp. We don’t want British judges for this fight. We want proper, experienced, judges who will do the right thing.”

“If Dillian Whyte beats me, give him the decision. Do not try and rob anybody of this fight, give the man the decision, give the man what he deserves.”

“If I win, do the same for me. In boxing, these fighters don’t want any gifts, they don’t want robbery decisions.”

“People want to win if they win, and lose if they lose. In the game, we’ve seen so many boxing decisions go the opposite way and I’m just thinking ‘what are they watching’.”

Whether that will be at all plausible, or he has any say in matters like that, is another matter entirely, but this is a HUGE fight, an advert for the sport – we can’t have the world witnessing another robbery…
