Tyson Fury has revealed that he and Anthony Joshua had a fiery argument over the phone.
Fury and Joshua appeared to be on a collision course for several years, with the two British fighters both competing for the belts on offer in the heavyweight division.
However, so the story goes, an American court ordering Fury into a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder prevented the Gyspy King from taking the fight against his compatriot.
By the time that Fury was done with Wilder, Joshua had already lost his belts to WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk – and he’s not yet won them back.
We hope that at some point, with belts or no belts, we’re finally able to see this fight materialise, not least because there appears to be legitimate bad blood between the pair.

Fury told The Lowdown that he once felt the full force of AJ’s hatred over the phone, with his rival having called him up to make violent threats against him.
“He phoned me up one day in a mood to say he was gonna do this and do that to me. It didn’t fare too well for him, let’s say that… I just told him the truth. The truth always hurts.”
That’s just the kind of nastiness that Joshua needs to put on display when he eventually does fight Usyk again. Perhaps that way he’ll be able to win back the belts.
