Novak Djokovic’s frustration was telling during his US Open final defeat to Daniil Medvedev on Sunday night.
The stage was set for Djokovic to win the first men’s Grand Slam in over half a century, but Medvedev had other ideas.
The Russian defeated Djokovic in straight sets (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) to win the US Open and setback his opponent’s quest to establish himself as the greatest men’s tennis player of all-time.
While it was a career high for Medvedev, it was a night of HUGE frustration for Djokovic, who took his anger out on his racquet, which was left in quite the state after various lashes at the ground.

Djokovic is an undoubtedly talented player and one of the finest ever in the sport, but there have been various instances throughout history of him lacking class.
