Mike Tyson and Jake Paul collide on November 15.
The bout has been sanctioned as a professional contest despite a huge 31-year age and ‘Iron Mike’s’ recent health issues that forced the bout to be rescheduled.
Looking ahead to the clash legendary trainer Freddie Roach has shared his memories of training the former baddest man on the planet albeit a faded version of the former undisputed heavyweight champion.
Roach told DAZN: “Mike’s a great guy and I did train him for a couple of fights before the end of his career, but his heart wasn’t really in it at that time. If he didn’t knock you out in a couple of rounds he’d get a torn meniscus in his knee or an injury somewhere here or there.
“But the thing is Mike is a great puncher, he trains very hard. Being with Mike for two fights it was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it. Catching him on the mitts was very difficult and a lot of fun. Getting whacked by Mike Tyson with the right hook isn’t my favorite spot but I lived through it!”
Tyson’s opponent Paul has built a 10-1 record in boxing but mostly against old MMA fighters.
Despite this ‘The Problem Child’ believes he will become a world champion in the sport.
It’s safe to say that Roach doesn’t agree though.
The kid’s okay,” Roach told FightHype. “You know, a club fighter, I don’t know. I’ve never really met him. He was in my gym and they wanted to work, use the ring. Okay, go ahead.”

A club fighter as defined by Wikipedia:
‘A club fighter (or clubfighter) is a professional boxer who usually fights locally and has a mediocre record. Club fighters generally are not nationally recognized and have not won any fights that show the ability to win a championship.’
