Chelsea legend Frank Lampard makes sly Premier League medal flex

During an interview with the Telegraph, former Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard flexed like only a man who had a career as esteemed as his could flex.

Lampard’s stock in the game has historically been very high, but having been sacked as Chelsea manager at the tail end of January, he’s been through a period in which he’d rather not show his face.

The England legend is now back in the public eye, though, having conducted a tell-all interview with the Telegraph, during which he was evidently intent on reminding people that he means business.

Frank Lampard’s time back at Chelsea as manager ended in disaster.

On the morning that Liverpool great Steven Gerrard became the latest player to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, his happiness will have been stopped short by revelations that Lampard keeps Premier League winners’ medals in his shoes.

Lampard is quoted by the Telegraph saying:

“I was cleaning out my shoes recently and I found one of my Premier League winners’ medals in a shoe.”

“I probably tucked it in with a hangover the morning after an end of season do and forgot about it, and I found it in my shoe.”

Gerrard never won the Premier League, that fact has been well established, while Lampard is forgetting the whereabouts of his winners’ medals. There really is levels to this, isn’t there?
