France have been forced to contend with injuries throughout the tournament, and lost one of their most important players, Karim Benzema, to injury before the competition even began. Now, with their crunch game against Argentina less than 48 hours away, Deschamp’s squad has been hit with illness.

The Express have reported that the “flu-like bug” has affected five players so far, with Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate joining Kinglsey Coman, Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Umpamecano on the sick list.
