Reigning old champions France will be feeling very confident going into today’s World Cup final against Argentina, with Les Bleus the tournament’s top scorers with 13 goals, and that is thanks to their potent front line who have been electric this tournament.
Kylian Mbappe will get all the plaudits for his electric performances which have rewarded him with five goals in Qatar, but France fans are full of praise for their veteran striker Olivier Giroud, who became his nation’s all-time leading goalscorer with 52 goals when he scored against Poland in the Round of 16. He also grabbed the winner against England to send France into their semi-final against Morocco.

Another said: “We appreciate all our players, Mbappe, Giroud, Dembele, everyone.”, while a third fan joked: “We already feel very sad for Argentina.”
Will that supporter be made to eat his words come the conclusion of the match? He will hope not, as France attempt to become the first team since Brazil in 1962 to retain the World Cup.
