Carlos Tevez has revealed that he didnāt celebrate Argentinaās World Cup success and the reason why he didnāt contact Lionel Messi afterwards.
The former Argentina and Manchester City forward retired from the sport last year before taking the step into management at Rosario Central.
But the venture only lasted four months, Tevez stepped down as manager after he became increasingly frustrated with the politics surrounding the club.
āItās not a fair game for me, because Iām not from here, Iām not a Rosario Central born guy.Ā Ā Iām a manager and I donāt want to do politics.ā
Despite featuring heavily in the Argentina squad in the past, Tevez revealed that he didnāt follow the tournament closely but was rooting for France.
āI didnāt follow the World Cup in Qatar very closely but I saw France a lot, because it was a team that I liked,ā he said when speaking onĀ Radio Mitre.
He then went on to reveal that he didnāt message Messi because his phone was āblown upā.
āI have not written to Messi because his phone must have been blown up. It makes me very happy that my children celebrated his goals.ā
