Former teammate explains why he didn’t contact Messi after World Cup winšŸ˜¬

Carlos Tevez has revealed that he didnā€™t celebrate Argentinaā€™s World Cup success and the reason why he didnā€™t contact Lionel Messi afterwards.

The former Argentina and Manchester City forward retired from the sport last year before taking the step into management at Rosario Central.

But the venture only lasted four months, Tevez stepped down as manager after he became increasingly frustrated with the politics surrounding the club.

ā€œItā€™s not a fair game for me, because Iā€™m not from here, Iā€™m not a Rosario Central born guy.Ā Ā Iā€™m a manager and I donā€™t want to do politics.ā€

Despite featuring heavily in the Argentina squad in the past, Tevez revealed that he didnā€™t follow the tournament closely but was rooting for France.

ā€œI didnā€™t follow the World Cup in Qatar very closely but I saw France a lot, because it was a team that I liked,ā€ he said when speaking onĀ Radio Mitre.

He then went on to reveal that he didnā€™t message Messi because his phone was ā€˜blown upā€™.

ā€œI have not written to Messi because his phone must have been blown up. It makes me very happy that my children celebrated his goals.ā€
