Chris Bart-Williams, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest midfielder, has sadly died at the age of 49.
He made more than 400 appearances in his career. After coming through Leyton Orientβs academy he played for Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic and Ipswich.
Ex-Arsenal star Kevin Campbell, one of his former team-mates at Forest, posted: βR.I.P. Chris, love you Bartman! My lil brother we shared such great moments and I truly am devastated at the extremely sad news!β

Carlton Palmer, who played with Bart-Williams at Hillsborough, commented: βI am absolutely shell shocked Trevor Francis and now the Bartman lost for words. Love and blessings to both families.β
