During England’s 7-0 win over Montenegro they’re was something that happened that may put a veil over what should be a great night. When Joe Gomez was subbed on in the second half he was met by boos from a section of fans.
Gareth Southgate says he doesn’t understand why anyone would boo Joe Gomez. Says Gomez has done nothing wrong. Will sit down and talk to Gomez to make sure he’s OK. Gomez first in and first out of the England dressing room after the final whistle

The boos seem to have come because Raheem Sterling was dropped because of an altercation with Joe Gomez.
especially after a difficult week for him to be booed when he came on tonight was wrong.
I’ve taken full responsibility and accepted the consequence.
I felt as though I had to say this get home safe every one ❤️ #Euro2020— Raheem Sterling (@sterling7) November 14, 2019
A great touch from raheem, accepting blame and joining forces to stamp out the negative so called ‘fans’.
