Today’s EURO 2020 qualifier between Bulgaria and England has been completely overshadowed by a horrible series of events from certain Bulgarian fans as they made monkey noises and only booed certain English players when they touched the ball as well as targeted whistling and chants.
The 4th official made the referee aware of this and they continued so he paused the game so an announcement could be made over the tannoy.
This is part of UEFA’s new 3 step program to combat racist fans.

For those who haven't just heard on ITV, UEFA's 3 step protocol for racism:
1. Notify the captains
2. Announcement over the tannoy
3. Referee has the authority to abandon the gameStep 1 & 2 have just occurred.

During the announcement certain Bulgarian fans stood in protest with many booing and putting their middle fingers up, some were even caught on camera doing nazi salutes, absolutely shocking.
