Tom Aspinall was ready to walk away from MMA in 2016.
The British heavyweight very nearly gave up on his MMA dreams when he was struggling financially and eyed up a switch to the more lucrative world of boxing.
In the video he is sitting next to a young Tommy Fury and explains he just isn’t getting the fights in MMA.

Thankfully he kept at it and is now reaping the rewards of being the interim UFC heavyweight champion.
In his last outing he blitzed Curtis Blaydes and stopped him in the first minute of their fight at UFC 304.

Next up could be a huge showdown with Jon Jones but the current heavyweight champion has downplayed the fight and is instead eyeing up a clash with Alex Pereira.
