It looks like Floyd Mayweather’s final fight will be against Andrea Berto this September at the MGM Grand.
Mayweather insisted after the Manny Pacquiao fight that his next fight would be the last and September’s bout with Berto is the last of a six-fight contract he has with Showtime Sports.
“My last fight is in September, then it’s time for me to hang it up. You know, I’m almost 40 years old now, I’ve been in the sport 19 years, I’ve been world champion for 18 years, and I’m truly, truly thankful and I’m blessed.”
Mayweather’s opponent, Andre Berto, has fought professionally 30 times with 3 losses and 23 KOs but few are giving the 31 year old any chance against the undefeated champion.
The fight takes place on September 12th at the MGM Grand and will be available on pay-per-view.
